Debbi Ann Morrissette’s content writing has helped power the Neuroscience Education Institute to exponential growth. 

Starting her career as a Medical Writer in 2010, Morrissette advanced to Senior Medical Writer and then to her current position, Director of Content, Live Events.

“It has been such a joy to work with my fantastic NEI colleagues and our amazing expert faculty speakers to provide healthcare professionals with the education they need in the most engaging, inspiring, and entertaining way possible,” she said of her career. 

Her education content is creative and engaging, said Neuroscience Education Institute President Sheri Mills.

“Debbi brings a creative sense of learning to psychopharmacology education,” Mills said. “While her primary job as the Director of Live Meetings, she creates the scientific agenda for our live meetings, but she also is the clever writer, producer and singer for many of our video focuses. This educational design follows adult learning principles and helps our attendees remember better because the fun and creative music breaks reinforce the learning and re-focus the attention of the learner.”

While she still contributes as a medical writer, in her role as Director of Content, Live Events, she’s also shaping every NEI live and virtual event from start to finish. She also helps in drafting educational plans, storyboarding and narrating many of NEI’s Mechanism of Action animated episodes and uses her background as a musician to contribute lyrics, storyboards, and vocals to NEI Focuser videos.
